Sleaford Mods Announce Documentary Premiere Screenings

Sleaford Mods have announced the release of a new documentary film to be premiered in Nottingham and London next month. Sleaford Mods – Invisible Britain is described as “part band documentary, part look at the state of the nation”.

The film follows the band on their recent tour of the UK and is influenced by cult filmmaker Patrick Keiller’s groundbreaking trilogy of London, Robinson In Space and Robinson In Ruins, psychogeographer Iain Sinclair and Crash/High Rise author JG Ballard. Directed by Nathan Hannawin and Paul Sng, it combines conversations with the band, live footage, interviews with fans, and groups and individuals involved in the anti-austerity movement.

Screenings will take place in Nottingham and London this October with live Q&As with the directors. Tickets for London at the Doc’n Roll Film Festival at the Picturehouse Central cinema on Saturday October 3rd are available for £15 here. Tickets for the Broadway Cinema show in Nottingham screening at 8pm on Saturday October 10th are £12 (£10 concs) here. Sleaford frontman Jason Williamson will also be taking part in the Q&A at the Nottingham venue.
