Rising afro urban musicians JAS CRW make waves with Greetings From EP

With a play count approaching close to 500 000 plays across streaming platforms, afro urban trio  JAS CRW have released their long-awaited EP Greetings From via Starter Gang. Members include James, Aristoteles and Sandjay hence the name “J – A -S”. Ahead of the EP release, the trio were making waves on opening night stages for renowned musicians like Wacka Flocka Flame, Rae Sremmurd, Schoolboy Q, DAS EFX, Slum Villag and Dead Prez. The new EP combines the trio’s various backgrounds into their overall sound that is reminiscent of the work of WSTRN, WizKid and Burna Boy. Greetings From was produced by Ketelby James (CH) in collaboration with Meek (DE), vocals featured in the EP include rising Nigerian musician Dotman as well as award-winning Jamaican musician Naomi Cowan. The first track featured on the EP is ‘Report’, which was produced by Jamie Rodigan (son of BBC 1Xtra’s David Rodigan).

Speaking of the EP, JAS CRW tell us: “While working on Greetings From, we all went back to our roots and were inspired by each other’s backgrounds, which allowed us to find new sounds for JAS CRW and, even more importantly, our inner peace by representing our ancestors in a modern way.”
