Kelly Lee Owens Reworks Jenny Hval’s ‘Kingsize’

London based vocalist and producer Kelly Lee Owens has transformed ‘Kingsize’ by Norwegian experimental pop artist Jenny Hval into a rave-inflected dancefloor banger. The pair met through mutual friends and admiration for each other’s music. When approaching the remix, Owens was told “the only rule is that there are no rules”.

The original version of ‘Kingsize’ is the opening track of Hval’s most recent album, the rapturously received ‘Apocalypse Girl’ which was released in June on the Sacred Bones label.
