Berlin-based label and party organisers Killekil have announced a series of workshops created specifically for artists with disabilities in order to further their passion for electronic music production.

Called Ick mach Welle!, which literally translates to the uplifting and positive exclamation “I make a wave!,” the project is one in which persons with physical or intellectual disabilities learn how to produce music with music software, synthesisers and various machines. The workshop is managed by professional musicians and teachers and the aim is to bring some of the participants on stage. As the organisers explain: ‘We want inclusion – also in the club!

The project still has a series of fundraising goals to achieve, one of which is for Ick mach Welle! to raise sufficient funds in order to provide an extensive selection of electronic music technology, instruments and equipment for participants to use in the studio sessions.
