Second Mr. Mitch Album Coming To Planet Mu

Planet Mu have announced the upcoming release of Mr. Mitch’s sophomore album, a full-length effort called Devout, due out on April 21st.

Miles Mitchell made a name for himself in industrial grime circles years ago with the founding of London nightclub Boxed, soon becoming an instrumental figure in the development and expansion of the genre. He famously released ‘peace edits’ in the face of the proliferation of ‘war dubs’, which toned down the aggression of notable grime tracks, imbuing them instead with patience and nuance.

While Mr. Mitch’s first album through Planet Mu – 2014’s Parallel Memories – was an entirely instrumental affair, Devout will feature a number of vocal artists, including Miles himself, his son Milo, P Money, Denai Moore and Palmistry.

According to the label, Devout is an album “about love, loyalty, family and the start and end of relationships…with an overarching theme about becoming a father, all delivered with warmth and emotion.”
