Although it may seem that house producers are a dime a dozens at the moment, TS7 have a sound that sets them apart from all the deeper producers of the moment. Incorporating pop vocals over a throbbing beat has given us an enjoyable, bouncing single in the form of ‘Heartlight’.
As the trend for house begins to get deeper and darker, ‘Heartlight’ has a far more commercial approach to the genre, a lot like what Katy B did with dubstep. The powerful yet still retrained vocals of Taylor Fowlis give this track an almost nostalgic 90s RnB feel. The result is a belting but still fairly tame entry onto the scene for this emerging producer.
TS7 may have started this year with a fairly lukewarm production but it still possesses enough flair to make it catchy and enjoyable when you are 2-stepping in the clubs.
