French dance music pioneer VITALIC shares ‘Waiting for the Stars’ feat. David Shaw. Vitalic – alter ego of Pascal Arbez, also announced his 4th studio album which features Miss Kittin, and it is set for release on January 20th via Clivage Music and Caroline International.
It’s been 15 years since VITALIC first found recognition. Taking the sheer fun of disco and lacing it with 21st century advancements, the producer seemed to trigger an accidental dancefloor revolution. Many of those oldskool tunes, like “Poney”, “La Rock 01”, “My Friend Dario” and “You Prefer Cocaine” are now club anthems, mixing the genres of techno, disco, rock and pop, and kick-starting a scene that had been fledgling since the ‘French touch’ to find something a little more refreshing than generic house.
Having recently headed back into the studio, the French icon decided to give his sound a modernisation, with the latest technologies at his disposal incorporated into the production of this most recent offering. VITALIC is set to release the new album in January via Clivage Music and Caroline International.
‘Waiting For The Stars’ is a lucid piece of intergalactic disco, a sheer cosmic voyage through the outer dimensions of sound. It’s got a solid beat, complimented by impeccably infectious electronics, we see a new anthem in the making.
