NEWS: The Wu-Tang Clan’s Method Man Pens Marvel’s Xmas Special

Marvel/Infinite Comics has released an issue of Ghost Rider written by Wu-Tang Clan’s Method Man. The comic has been available digitally since last Wednesday.

Following his cameo in Netflix’s Luke Cage, Method Man heads back into the Marvel universe with his own Ghost Rider story for the comic book publisher’s Ghost Rider X-mas Special.

According to Marvel, Ghost Rider X-Mas Special Infinite Comic #1 revolves around the story of Robbie Reyes’ little brother Gabe being bullied at school, for having too much ‘Christmas spirit.’ The other kids are less than excited about Santa Claus’ impending visit, making them ‘the perfect victims for the evil KRAMPUS!’

The comic, has been illustrated by Anthony Piper and Balak, with the cover by Jamal Campbell – check out some images below.

This year, Marvel has distributed over 80 hip-hop cover designs, with Kanye West, Jay Z and Vic Mensa inspiring the latest batch. The first collection of 70+ were released in a book earlier this year with an introduction written by author and critic Ta-Nehisi Coates, who also penned the screenplay for next year’s Black Panther.
