Stand By Me

Stand By Me

Going to the movies isn't all about dates and getting it on- but it helps. This perfect date fodder combines sweet 80's cultish (and acclaimed) cinema with the lap of luxury. And you don't need to travel to West London.

The Prism Brasserie, is a Harvey Nichols restaurant in the former Bank of New York building. It's undoubtedly one of the most exciting and dramatic spaces in the City, and a super glamorous location to spend a Monday evening- even if you were to just sit there twiddling your thumbs. As it is you won’t need to do, as they now run a weekly Monday Night Film Club.

Tonight's showing is Stand By Me, the Rob Reiner coming-of-age film starring River Phoenix and Corey Feldman (that's right BOTH of them) which is pretty much the holy grail of fallen iconic 80's teen combinations. Unless we're counting Molly Ringwold and Emilio Estevez in The Breakfast Club, a matter we wanted to discuss with them directly but unfortunately couldn't find his Emailio Addresstevez (sorry, just sorry)...

If you do not what we're talking about you can refresh your memory below. And keep your eyes peeled for a young Kiefer Sutherland...
